What about den meetings?
Who is my son's den leader?
When/where are the den meetings?
Newly enrolled scouts will be assigned to a den shortly after registration.  Your den leader will contact you with the information about the first den meeting.

Unless you are notified differently, returning scouts are typically placed in the same den as last year.

What are my responsibilities as a parent/guardian?   A parent/guardian agrees to act as a guide (along with your son's den leader) for your boy along his path to becoming a good scout.

Parents as well as other siblings are welcome at most of our pack activities/trips.  Check with your den leader about den activities.

While your involvement in some activities may not be required, your son will always get out of scouts what YOU put into it.

Who's in charge of all this stuff?   Click here for a more detailed list of who's who.

Who do I make the check out to?   For most pack activities/trips/selling campaigns, payment should be made out to "Pack 96" unless otherwise noted.  We prefer to receive payment by check rather than cash because it allows us to keep track of who paid for something.

How can I help the pack?   Pack 96 is run by volunteers.  We are always looking for help with committees.

Be involved in your boys den. Help the leader or be a leader or assistant leader.

BSA training is available and required for leader positions (Youth protection* and basic leader training). * BSA policy is for at least two leaders/adults to be present at all scouting activities.

We have many events and activities throughout the year.  We could always use another set of hands, eyes, ears and such!
