Tour permit rules:
- Tour permits need to be obtained for all trip that
are not within the town of Ellington.
- Tour permits need to be submitted to council two
weeks before the trip.
- Tour permits need to be signed by the tour leader and
a committee member
(usually Ray Chamberland or Bill Durgan that way we know where you are
going).
- Tour permits can be faxed to council at the fax
number (860)-290-8860.
They will usually get to it within a few days. They have to fax part
back, so make sure to give them a fax number.
- If you take your permit to directly to council, the
person working the front counter will usually process it in a few
minutes.
- The back of the form asks for information about
vehicles and drivers. All this can be avoided by writing in large
letters "Each family to provide own transportation".
- The form asks if the tour leader has a copy of and
has read the "Guide
to Safe Scouting" (977kb PDF file).
- Note the form is made to be printed on legal size
paper, but you can print it on regular paper especially if you are going
to fax it.
